Alaska and Auto Transportation

With the increase number of people who are prone to taking cruises each year, many are packing their bags and heading to Alaska. Contrary to what many believe, Alaska has a growing tourism industry and the area provides both residents and tourists alike with plenty of things to do. However, if your company is relocating you to Alaska indefinitely or if you are taking an extended vacation in Alaska, you may want to consider auto transport an option- especially if you live somewhere like Maryland. At National Transport LLC, car shipping and auto transport is what we do. We know how important your vehicle(s) is to you, which is why insurance is provided for an additional premium while on ship. Additionally, National Transport LLC is a federally licensed and permitted auto transportation company. Worried about where your vehicle is and want to check up? We are more than happy to provide the cell phone number for the driver who is transporting your vehicle.

About Alaska

Nicknamed the “Land of the Midnight Sun,” and spanning more than 660,000 square miles, the state of Alaska is the largest state within the United States by area. Geographically, Alaska is located in the northwest corner of North America with Canada to its east, the Arctic Ocean to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south. Since 2007, Alaska is still one of the least densely populated states within the United States. Alaska was admitted to the Union in January of 1959 as the 49th state. Interestingly, Alaska has more coastline than any of the other U.S. states combined. Regarding the economy in Alaska, the oil and gas industries still dominate, bringing in more than 80% of the state's revenues. Other export products from Alaska include seafood- primarily salmon, cod, Pollock and crab. Additionally, over the years, Alaska has seen the steady increase in tourism, which contributes to the economy via lodging and cruises, etc.
