What sucks more more than having to shell out a ton of money to purchase a car is to then have it stolen by an unsuspecting thief. The following are some theft prevention tips:

• Never leave your car running if you’re not in it.  If you must (for whatever reason) leave the car running, lock your doors and make sure that you have a spare set of keys with you to get back in
• Don’t waste your money on those little hide boxes or other gadgets used to store your car keys in.  Often, when I go running, I’ll notice people place these boxes underneath their car.  Who’s to stop me or anyone else for that matter from taking the keys…and the car?
• Make sure your windows are rolled up all the way.  If you’re worried about your car being hot, deal with it.  You’d be surprised at how easy it is to break into a vehicle with only an inch of space.
• Empty it Out. Making sure that your vehicle doesn’t have anything in it that would tempt a criminal is one great way to make sure that no one breaks in!
