13 Year-Old Steals Bus…Destroys Everything in Sight
For the life of me I don’t know what is getting into kids these days. Recently we reported on a story involving a young boy who decided to drive himself to school by stealing his parents car, eventually wrecking out before he could get the school breakfast he was so eager to consume. That child was a big fan of the game Grand Theft Auto, but a new story coming oout of China can not be explained by our children’s desire to play violent driving games. Apparently a 13 year old Chinese boy decided to drive a bus crashing it into most everything in sight, according to http://news.xinhuanet.com/:
“It happened at about 9 a.m. Sunday, when city bus No. 404 zigzagged and hit a car and a minibus in traffic. When the owner of the car tried to talk to the bus driver, the bus reversed and crashed into 10 parked vehicles and knocked down two electricity poles, the Beijing Public Security Bureau said. “
The boy was apparently very frail and no explanation was given as to why he decided to cut the swath of destruction that he did. The boy apparently gained control of the bus when the driver stopped to use the bathroom. To me the scariest part of this story is the fact that this kid is only 3 years younger then we allow people to obtain a vailid drivers license! It is stories like this that make me want to increase the driving age to 30!
This is just ridiculous. What passenger on the bus would let a kid get in the drivers seat. Also, aren’t there programs on the bus the drivers have to put in in order for the bus to function?
