Pack Your Bags, Kids- We’re Going on a ‘Staycation’!

So many families are either fed up with the high gas prices or simply cannot afford it, so many of them are now turning to “staycations” instead of vacations. What is a staycation, you might ask? Well, it is exactly what it sounds like: you stay home.
Due to the fact that the value of the American dollar has fallen a great deal within the past year alone, combined with over $4 a gallon as well as air travel becoming increasingly expensive (can you believe they’re charging extra now for checking a bag?!), many people are finding alternative ways Read the Rest…

I Can’t Afford to Drive My Car

$73. That’s how much it cost me to fill up my gas tank (which wasn’t even totally empty). Oh, by the way, did I mention that I usually fill up my car at least once a week due to my commuting back and forth to work? According to a recent article published in Financial Times,
Toyota has begun offering cut-rate financing for the first time on used vehicles across the US, underscoring the widening crisis in the motor industry, especially in the fuel-thirsty sport-utility vehicle and pick-up truck segments.
