Not to be confused with the Honda CR-V, the CR-Z is part of Honda’s hybrid class and features a 6-speed manual, which seems to be a breeze to work with. In the News: Victoria Australia looks at Motorcycle Safety after Rash of Fatalities

Motorcycles might offer riders the “thrill of the open road” but unfortunately what they do not offer is much protection in the event of an accident. In Victoria, Australia, a recent rash of motorcycle fatalities, 8 in 11 days to be exact, has caused members of the government to start looking at safety requirements on Victorian roads.
At least one Victorian emergency room doctor has voiced an opinion to require protective gear for motorcyclists but this view has been rejected by Deputy Commissioner Ken Lay. Mr. Lay also ruled out the possibility of increased penalties for unsafe riders. Read the Rest…

In the News: All Cell Phone use to be Banned While Driving

Did that get your attention? Well if Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood, gets his way -this just might be the future.
In statements made last month, LaHood said (in no uncertain terms) that he did not like drivers engaged at all in cell phone use-not only texting but calling as well. If you are thinking that you use a Bluetooth device and are therefore safe, think again.
