In the News: Fee to be Added to Electric Cars?

According to an article published in the Seattle Times, electric car owners could begin to see fees in the form of a special tax.
Currently, those who own electric vehicles are able to drive on roadways without having to pay a gas tax. However, gas taxes are typically applied towards helping to preserve roads and maintain roadways. Of course, then, the same argument could be said of other people who use the roads such as cyclists, runners, people walking their dogs, etc.

Video: 2011 Audi Q7 3.0T

Despite the fact that many people have downsized to smaller passenger vehicles from their larger sport utility vehicles, it seems that there are still some who prefer the more roomy, sometimes luxurious feel of an SUV.
In the following video, Inside Line takes a look at the all new, 2011 Audi Q7 3.0T as it is put to the test. The video shows such demonstrations as the Q7 goes from 0-60 in 7.7 seconds and travels 1/4 mile in just under 16 seconds while reaching a speed of 87.5 miles per hour.

In the News: Pedestrian Routes Introduced on Mapquest

In February, Mapquest introduced a routing mode that generates pedestrian routes for those of us who prefer our legs over our wheels. That’s not all though.
The Denver-based company also launched a rail transit mode that displays public transportation railroad routes in places such as New York, Chicago and Washington, to name a few. Ironically, there is none for Denver as of yet.
