In the News: Traffic Fatalities are the Lowest Ever

In a bit of good news, it seems as if traffic fatalities are at the lowest number that they have ever been. According to the U.S. Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood, the rate of traffic fatalities in 2010 fell to the lowest levels that they have ever been at since 1949. All of this is happening in spite of a huge jump in the number of people on the roadways as well as the number of miles traveled by vehicle.
