Fresh from Detroit, Michigan, we hear the news of Ford receiving a brand new CEO of advertising. Satish Korde was named to serve as the new Ford Team Detroit CEO, a job that began the day of the announcement. Team Detroit consists of major players Young & Rubicam, JWT, Wunderman, MEC, Ogilvy & Mather, and Mindshare. The former agencies that make up Team Detroit is now part of six WWP-owned and operated agencies that claims Ford Motors as its one major client.

BMW is winning in terms of luxury car sales against Audi and Mercedes, having more than a 12 percent increase in sales since this time last year, which means that BMW has sold 134,432 cars since the beginning. The Luxury car race, which includes global sales figures for June, has allowed Mercedes to hit a new sales record of 117,650 cars sold that month. This is a sales rise of 6.4 percent over last year’s global sales numbers.

Tesla Motors is rising into the electric auto world in a big way. Tesla Motors, invited to speak at the Congressional hearing about the subject, has so far kept the promise it has made about electric vehicles.
