Cool Find of the Week: Hot Rod Magazine Destroys Corvette

So, why would anyone destroy a Corvette? Well, in this case, the staff of Hot Rod Magazine claim that it’s because they “take their performance testing very seriously.” As is evidenced by the following video, they don’t hold back as they completely tear into a 1985 Chevrolet Corvette at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, all for the purpose of doing a little “testing” on the track.

Cool Find of the Week: Tesla Roadster vs. Oil Crisis

If you thought that there was an oil crisis going on with all of the news surrounding BP, you were wrong, at least according to the person driving the vehicle in the following picture.

In the News: Gasoline Prices Back on the Rise

According to an article published by The Philadelphia Inquirer, gasoline prices may be back on the rise:
While pump prices rose an average 2 cents per gallon for the country as a whole – to $2.74 a gallon – the average in Southeastern Pennsylvania rose just a penny, to $2.76 per gallon. In South Jersey, the average rose 3 cents to $2.56, the auto club said. [source]

The last time that the ‘check engine’ light came on in my mother’s brand new Honda Accord, she wasted no time bringing it in to have it looked like. After all, if the vehicle you’re driving in shows this type of illuminated sign on the dashboard, then surely something must be wrong with the engine, right?
