Cool Find of the Week: Hot Rod Magazine Destroys Corvette

So, why would anyone destroy a Corvette? Well, in this case, the staff of Hot Rod Magazine claim that it’s because they “take their performance testing very seriously.” As is evidenced by the following video, they don’t hold back as they completely tear into a 1985 Chevrolet Corvette at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, all for the purpose of doing a little “testing” on the track.

In the News: NCDOT Awards $35 Million in Construction Work

Big news for the state of North Carolina as the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) recently granted $34.7 million towards 10 highway and bridge construction projects. According to the Triangle Business Journal:
Raleigh-based C.C. Mangum won a $2.9 million stimulus contract to construct a 3.7-mile section of the Neuse River Greenway from the Wake County/Johnston County line to Sam’s Branch Creek in Clayton. That project is scheduled to begin as early as May 31 and will be completed by Nov. 1, 2011.
Monroe-based Dellinger Inc. also won a $729,101 contract for replacing the bridge on Raleigh Road over Black Creek northwest Read the Rest…

So. CA Highways Get a Facelift in the Form of Flowers
