Are You a Bad Driver? 10 Questions to Ask Yourself
Driving is a privilege, not a right. However, when it comes to obeying the laws of the roadways, most of us break the rules. Whether we’re speeding to beat that red light or failing to signal before changing lanes, there are some of us who don’t think that the rules apply. That being said, if someone asked you whether or not you thought you were a bad driver, what would your response be?
When we drive, we should pretend that there is someone secretly video recording our driving. Would it make a difference in how you drove if that were truly the case? The following are some questions that you should consider asking yourself to help determine whether or not you are driving to the best of your abilities:
Am I a Bad Driver?
- When it is raining outside, do I remember to turn on my headlights?
- Do I always signal before changing lanes?
- Do I change lanes at an intersection?
- Do I allow myself and the other car(s) in front of me or behind me enough room at all times?
- Do I frequently cut people off?
- Am I always rushing to beat red lights?
- Do I typically obey the posted speed limit?
- Do I allow pedestrians the right of way when applicable?
- Am I frequently getting honked at by other drivers?
- Do I tailgate other drivers?
We may not all be born with the natural ability to drive well, but we are certainly afforded the opportunity to improve our driving. Remember, how you drive affects the safety of others around you!
