If someone were to go rummaging through your vehicle right now, what sorts of things would they find? In the following video, Cars.com hits the streets to ask everyday people what sorts of weird things they have found in their cars.
From missing cell phones to food still in the wrappers to pop tarts, there seems to be no end to the list of weird, bizarre and often disgusting things that people allow to accumulate in their vehicles. As a side note, remember that when you are transporting your vehicle with a car shipping company, you always want to make sure Read the Rest…

Video: Cars.com asks “What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done in your car?”

Let’s face it. We’ve all been in situations (or have been caught in situations) that, at the time, may not have seemed so funny but later on we were able to laugh about it. In the following video, Cars.com ventures out to ask regular, everyday people what sorts of crazy things they’ve done while driving in their cars. Some of the answers just may shock you.

Video: Couple is ‘Dying’ to Drive Their Toyota

Now, I’ve heard of couples fighting over who has to drive when it comes to long road trips; and nine times out of ten it ends up that they simply opt to use an auto transport company versus having to drive at all. However, what I haven’t seen is a couple that fights over who actually gets to drive their car.  The following video is a cleverly-put-together commercial that shows the humor in just how far one couple is willing to go to sabotage each other’s chances of getting to drive their Toyota Rav 4…

Does the Type of Car You Have Determine Who You Are?

When you see a small, red sports car convertible parked in a parking space, do you stop to think about what the owner of that car looks like?  Nine times out of ten, I’m willing to bet that you do.   If it’s a small convertible car, depending on the make, model and color- you might predetermine in your head whether the driver is a young, white female accountant, a teenager borrowing her father’s car or an older black woman just coming back from the grocery store.
Your Car Speaks Volumes
Whether or not people want to admit it, the type of car Read the Rest…

Car Accidents: Not Always a Laughing Matter

We’ve all seen pictures of car accidents before.  In a lot of videos that get distributed around the Internet, car accidents are depicted in a somewhat humorous way.  However, the truth of the matter is that car accidents are no laughing matter.
Each year, thousands of people are killed or seriously injured in vehicular accidents.  When all parties involved in a car accident are able to walk away without a scratch, only then does it become something to laugh at.  The thing that we, as drivers, need to be more vigilant of is our attention to the roadways as well as Read the Rest…

The Police: There When You Need ‘Em!

When I’m being aggressively tailgated or witnessing other people getting cut off, I often wonder “Where are the police when you need them?” Granted, I was a police officer, so I know that there are often more pressing issues than traffic violations. However, it always seems that whenever I’m on the roadways, that’s when all of the aggressive drivers decide to come out; it’s almost as if they know that there won’t be any police to catch them.
It’s a sad fact that we should even have to rely on a police presence to get others to follow the Read the Rest…

Your Lot in Life

Why is it that parking always seems to be such a chore?  Among my laundry list of irritations is the impossibility of finding  a spot to park your car, the risk of dents, and other people’s poor manners.  By the latter I mean that chivalry is totally dead in a parking lot.  When you do eventually find your spot miles away from the store, or wherever it may be that you are headed, as soon as the white lights go on for you to reverse from your parking spot, out of nowhere comes the line of drivers who don’t want Read the Rest…

Use Your Mirrors… Yes, the mirrors are there for a purpose. Be aware of what’s going on around you. Think about it – very useful when you’re changing lanes, slowing down, about to make turns. For all you know, there’s some guy behind you about to run right into you. Don’t just depend on your Read the Rest…

Be the Emily Post of the Highways [Pt.1]

The word of the day is etiquette. Most people have eschewed it in their day-to-day life, so why might we expect anything different on the roads? Well, the short answer is: We don’t. I, more or less, expect the worst from people on the road. If someone allows me to back out of a parking space I was 75% out of before they came blazing around the corner, I enter a near state of shock. If someone allows me to enter the road, say from a parking lot, when the main road is bumper-to-bumper; I Read the Rest…

I Can’t Afford to Drive My Car

$73. That’s how much it cost me to fill up my gas tank (which wasn’t even totally empty). Oh, by the way, did I mention that I usually fill up my car at least once a week due to my commuting back and forth to work? If I drive anywhere but work, then I can almost definitely plan to fill up at least twice a week, and at $73 each time at the pump, that adds up quick.
The increasing cost of gas at the pump is causing all of us to cringe. It almost seems counterproductive Read the Rest…
