Eminem to Help Auto Workers
You heard it right. Ever since the government announced that it would take over GM, recent news stories about GM’s plummeting stock have been swirling around as the once “Giant” of the auto industry continues to fall. However, not all hope is lost; rapper Eminem is there to the rescue.
Help for the Auto Workers
According to a recent article published in Rap Basement, Eminem will be visiting the Jimmy Kimmel Live television show three times this month to promote his new album release called Relapse. But the rapper won’t be going alone. In fact, Eminem will be flying 200 laid off auto workers from auto manufacturing plants near his hometown of Detroit, Michigan as well as other parts of Ohio. According to Jon Michael Zapf, a man who works for Ohio Modular Management:
He is flying us out, all expenses paid, for the show to put a face on the American auto workers who are affected by this hardship. He is supposed to do a meet and greet and sign autographs. [source]
Well, Eminem- while your John Hancock won’t do much to save an auto industry that has already failed, it may certainly take the sting out of it for some of the auto workers.
