The correct answer to this question is “not long at all”.  According to a recent news article published in Newsday, the owner of a Gillete auto sales yard is cleaning up the damage- $80,000 worth- left by a unknown driver of a pickup truck.  The unnamed driver of the pickup truck struck 11 vehicles at the owner’s business before driving away on August 22nd.

The owner of the auto sales yard, Bob Davis, claims that his employees witnessed the unknown driver first attempt to drive between two vehicles on the lot, accidentally hitting one of them.  As if that wasn’t bad enough, the driver was then witnessed trying to flee the property.  In doing so, the driver ended up striking even more vehicles.  One of the vehicles he struck on his grand exit actually wound up being pushed back into the building.

Despite the fact that police have since caught up with the driver, there is no confirmation as to what caused the driver’s actions or whether or not the driver was arrested.  One thing that many are left wondering is what on earth would cause someone to behave the way this particular driver did.  Quite frankly, it makes me a little nervous that someone like this was out driving around on the road!
