[...] Car Manufacturers’ Answer to a Better World by admin Judging from the effects of global warming, rising oil prices, and the demand from people from all around the world for a better place to live in, car makers are now taking measurements to step on their gas pedal and come out with innovative ideas that will solve the rising problems that we humans may face one day.As from what we can see in the automotive industry today, car makers are taking research and development heavily to come out with products that will ease our daily life. This can be found especially in Japanese automotive companies with their innovative and creative ideas, so fast that before you have got the chance to learn about it during the annual Tokyo Motor Show, the particular company has already started on another new project which will be due to the public not long after.Toyota Motor Corporation, currently the world’s largest car manufacturer, is the first company that sells hybrid concept vehicle that they introduced back in 1997. The Toyota Prius is the first answer for fuel conservation with the introduction of Hybrid Synergy Drive developed by Toyota. Today, the Toyota Prius has left it’s footprint in the hybrid cars history and it sets off the race towards eco-friendly vehicles together with other car makers.Tailing behind Toyota is Honda Motors Company. Apart from their human-like robot ASIMO project that earned praises from audience worldwide, Honda is also armed with their fleet of future hybrid cars being developed and we will get to see them soon on our roads. The Honda FCX Clarity is a clear and direct competition to the Toyota Prius but it will be running on hydrogen. Initially planned to launch in the States, it will not be long until we have the chance to see hydrogen cars on the road together with nicely set up hydrogen supply stations.Apart from the two giants in the Japanese automotive industry, Volkswagen also came out with their economical concept called the Blu Motion that will be on sale this year in UK. Available in both the Polo and Passat models, Volkswagen promises a 60.1mpg fuel consumption that helps saving the fuel usage and also the pockets of consumers. Nissan Motors on the other hand is also working jointly with NEC Corporation to develop advanced Lithium-Ion batteries to be used in their future electric hybrid cars coming year 2010.By: Brenda Williams About the Author: Fuel Economy Standards [...]

[...] The proposed fuel economy standards for the future are one of the major things that everyone seems to be worried about. What do we do about the crisis? The answer seems to lie somewhere in the technological realm. If we take more time out to research the various technological things, then we just might have a chance. But seriously, the future of our earth as well as our existence on it depends on how we choose to conserve or not conserve energy now. We need to make sure that we are being careful with how we are using energy. This comes down to things such as deciding what kind of a car you are going to purchase. For instance, if you are planning on purchasing a vehicle, choose one, instead, that gets really good gas mileage- not one that looks "cool" on television. It’ll save you a bunch of money in the long run and will be better for the environment.
[...] The proposed fuel economy standards for 2011 should be pretty interesting to see. The astronomical gas prices now, officially have everyone worried about the future of not only the environment but our pockets. How much more can people afford to spend. There are, after all, a lot of other problems to tend to such as the increasing cost of living, the increase in how expensive food is to buy as well as the housing market suffering from it’s own crisis. I know that I’m just about at my wits end with it all! Even if you really aren’t interested in the nature of all of these crises around us, you can’t help but know something about what is going on. So, let’s tackle one problem at a time beginning with the impending gas crisis. What do we do about it? It seems like more and more people are turning towards hybrid cars as the answer. This may just be the answer, but only time will tell.
