The last time that the ‘check engine’ light came on in my mother’s brand new Honda Accord, she wasted no time bringing it in to have it looked like. After all, if the vehicle you’re driving in shows this type of illuminated sign on the dashboard, then surely something must be wrong with the engine, right?
A couple of hundred dollars later, it turned out that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my mother’s vehicle. It was just an electrical thing- something that we later found out she could’ve fixed very easily. But she’s not the only one who has had an experience like this.
We continue our video coverage of looking at how to troubleshoot issues related to your vehicle, specifically where your sensors are involved. So many vehicles that are manufactured today are made up of various electrical components. Now, regardless of if you ride a motorcycle, own an RV or are just going to work in your regular car, if a ‘check engine’ light comes on, we are almost immediately alarmed.
